So I’m finally getting all my purchases I made on Black Friday/Cyber Monday and of course I have to blog about some of the things I bought. These Dose of Colors Eyedeal Duos are no exception. I purchased 3 colors, even though I really wanted to add them all to my cart and just purchase them without even thinking twice about it. But alas, my self control got the best of me (that darn thing) and I purchased three during the sale. Now there aren’t many swatches to reference towards, nor does the website have any sort of explanation of the shades so I just had to purchase what I thought was the most appealing on my screen. I ended up going with a neutral champagne-y shade, a silver and a dark green. These come with a cream shadow that is used as the base and the loose pigment which closely mimics glitter. I have no clue how they created this product but it is seriously a beautiful shimmery pigmented goodness. Of course with any loose pigment, it is important to apply a good eye primer so the product stays on all day. Although it does come with a cream, I still found it important to apply an eye primer because I still noticed creasing otherwise 🙁
Shell: A beautiful shimmery champagne with flecks of gold
Frozen: A finely milled silver
Envy: A dark green with fleck of silver
Cream + pigment:
It’s important to note that these need to be mixed with some sort of sealer to actually stay on the lid (current method: mehron mixing medium as base and then applying this on top). There is lots of fallout with this which isn’t surprising since it is a loose pigment but honestly the pigmentation is worth it. These currently retail for $25 which is pretty steep but you get lots of product and a cream base. The packaging is super easy to use and carry and the jar of the loose pigment comes with a sifter (not less messier, but a little easier to maintain). These can be purchased on the Dose of Colors website.
